WUKARI-Several concerns have been raised as a strange fire on Saturday broke out in the examination office of Federal University Wukari, Taraba State.

According to local sources in the university, the strange fire emanating around 2-4 AM was noticed from a distance by security men and other students who were reading till daybreak (TDB).

Rhapsodi Affos Blog (RAB) reports that the fire broke out six days after the school examination started (25th). There have been several speculations from different sources: Many believed that the fire outbreak was induced by aggrieved students who were caught in examination malpractice and will possibly be rusticated.

According to some of the students who spoke to our reporter on the grounds of anonymity, they suspected that the fire was deliberately induced by some people they believe we're students. According to the sources, there was no electrical light during the fire outbreak as the school generator is usually off around midnight except for the NEPA light which wasn't on when the fire broke out.

Rhapsodi Affos Blog reporter who went to the scene of the incident observed that several appliances such as Television, Air Condition, etc were burnt by the fire, also few documents, papers were burned. The fire however didn't erupt the main room where relevant documents regarding the ongoing exams were kept.

As of the time of filing this report, the school management is yet to give any official announcement regarding the outbreak. All effort to get to speak with the staff of the University proved abortive as most of them refuse to speak about the incident. The one who spoke said, the current vice-chancellor has zero-tolerance for examination malpractice. However, examinations continue on Monday.
